I found out super last minute that Matt Bomer was doing an event tonight in SoHo at the Apple Store. In the past I have had great luck with meeting some favorites of mine at this place (the cast of Doctor Who, PAUL and Scott Pilgrim) so I knew if I went I’d have a good chance of finally meeting Matt.
I showed up and hung out with June and her friend Brian. We had the option of waiting in line to get into the actual event or standing outside in the hopes of catching him arriving, so we waited outside. Thankfully that was the right choice and we got him! He was so lovely about stopping and taking photos, he said I was fancy with my polaroid camera and when I asked him to scribble on it he said “only if you shake it like a polaroid picture”. We concluded that a) it would ruin the photo and b) he was being provocative, then he defended himself saying “it’s a dance move! it’s a dance move!”
He was so sweet and charming. I’m over the moon that I finally got to meet him! Unfortunately the event had filled capacity when we tried to get back in so we left, but that’s ok because it’ll be available as a free podcast on itunes soon.
White Collar comes back tomorrow night on the USA network! Watch it! :)
